Open to: UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Average Dad Tech, their immediate families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
1. How to enter
You can purchase tickets above, however there is also a free to enter option with no purchase necessary. To enter, email [email protected] with your full name and valid contact details (such as email address and/or phone number) during the promotion period. Only one free entry per person per promotion period is allowed; entries on behalf of another person and bulk entries are not permitted.
2. Promotion period
Each monthly prize draw opens at 00:00 (UK time) on the first calendar day of every month. Each monthly prize draw closes at 23:59 (UK time) on the last business day of that month; entries received after the closing time will be added to the following months draw.
Average Dad Tech may amend the promotion period where reasonably necessary and will take reasonable steps to notify entrants of any changes.
3. Prize
The prize for each monthly draw (the “Prize”) is chosen by Average Dad on our YouTube channel on the previous month’s prize draw video. The Prize will be described in that video and on any associated promotional material. The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available, except that Average Dad Tech may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
4. Winner selection
One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the relevant monthly promotion period. The draw will be associated with the “AD Prize Tickets” prize draw video that is released on the first day of each month on the Average Dad YouTube channel. All valid entries have an equal chance of winning and the free email entry route is treated the same as any other route (if any).
5. Winner notification and prize delivery
The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided on entry within 7 days of the prize draw video being released. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of the first notification attempt, Average Dad Tech reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternative winner selected at random from the remaining valid entries. Where applicable, the Prize will be sent to a UK or international address provided by the winner within 30 days of confirmation, unless otherwise stated.
6. Publicity
The winner’s first name, initial of surname, and general location (for example, “Alex D, Manchester”) may be announced on Average Dad Tech channels, including YouTube and social media, in connection with the prize draw. By entering, entrants may be asked (but are not obliged) to take part in reasonable publicity related to the promotion. Any such participation will be subject to separate consent.
7. Data protection
Average Dad Tech will use entrants’ personal data only for administering the prize draw, contacting winners, and for any additional purposes to which entrants expressly consent (such as marketing). Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and in line with Average Dad Tech’s privacy notice available on its website.
8. General
Average Dad Tech reserves the right to refuse entry or disqualify any entrant who:
- breaches these terms and conditions,
- provides false or misleading information, or
- tampers with the entry process.
Average Dad Tech is not responsible for lost, misdirected, incomplete, or delayed entries, or for any technical failure beyond its reasonable control. The decision of Average Dad Tech regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Average Dad Tech will not be liable for any loss, damage, or disappointment suffered by any entrant arising from entering the prize draw or from acceptance of the Prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory rights they may have as consumers in the rest of the UK.
